Coges has completed the integration of a complete payment system into a new line of wellness vending machines developed by S2LIFE. The machines dispense ionized alkaline water enriched with molecular hydrogen and are designed for use in wellness and commercial environments.

As the machine moved from concept to real-world use, S2LIFE approached Coges with a clear need: a payment system that would be flexible enough for different locations, yet simple and intuitive for everyday users.

“This was not something we do every day”

For this project, Coges proposed a payment system that combines MyKey for closed-loop payments, QPay for card payments, and Caesium for cash transactions. This configuration allows the same machine to support different payment habits without changing how it is operated or adding complexity for the user.

What makes this project particularly interesting is not only the product itself, but how the machine works. It is built around a patented water treatment process, which means it does not follow the logic of a traditional vending machine. As a result, the payment system could not be integrated in a standard way.

“It wasn’t something we do every day. The machine works very differently from traditional vending machines, so the payment system had to be specifically adapted to its logic. It was a technically interesting project that required close collaboration between our Technical Support team led by Marta Leonardi and the customer S2LIFE,” says Matteo Miglioranza, Sales Area Manager at Coges.

Smooth payments crucial step from patent to market

The machines are designed for locations such as wellness centers, offices, and other commercial spaces. In these environments, users expect to pay quickly and move on, without needing to think about the technology behind the machine.

By supporting closed-loop, card, and cash payments within one system, the machine can adapt to different locations and user preferences. At the same time, operators benefit from a stable and proven payment setup that fits seamlessly into daily operations.

“We needed a payment system that could adapt to our machine design and support the environments we are targeting. Coges understood our technology and helped make the integration practical and reliable,” the S2LIFE team explains.

This project shows how Coges supports manufacturers and operators when standard vending solutions are not enough—by adapting payments to the machine, and not the other way around.
